Clint O’Brien began his smithing journey in 2009, when the Great Recession left him with an unexpected abundance of free time. A lifelong fighter with over 35 years of experience across various combat formats, Clint recognized the scarcity of high-quality gear early on. His journey as an artificer truly began with a commission to craft gorgets—an endeavor that quickly revealed both his skill and the dire need for durable, well-crafted armor.

Since then, Clint has dedicated himself to forging battle-ready equipment that meets the rigorous demands of fighters. His expertise, honed through years of both combat and craftsmanship, ensures that every piece from Heavy Hammer Artificer is designed for resilience, function, and authenticity. Today, he continues to arm warriors with gear built to endure, combining tradition with modern techniques to create armor worthy of the battlefield.
